GroWiT Event: Change the Approach not the Goal @ TrueCar

Highlights of our recent diversity and inclusion in tech event entitled GroWiT: Change the Approach not the Goal. Hosted by TrueCar featuring female leaders in technology discussing seizing the opportunity, impostor syndrome and finding your voice.

Our first GroWiT (Growing Women in Technology) event on the West Coast kicked off with a bang as we travelled to TrueCar.

The evening was entitled 'Change the Approach not the Goal' and covered three key themes including: seizing the opportunity, finding your voice and overcoming impostor syndrome.

We were fortunate to be joined by three outstanding technology leaders, all committed to sharing their candid career experiences and offering perspectives on how to create a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Kerri Wise (VP Industry Relations & Education at TrueCar) kicked off proceedings with a focus on how to take advantage of the opportunity that is out there for women in technology. Followed by Lilian Diaz (Engineering Program Director at Medtronic) who shared some of her key steps to finding your voice based on her own personal experiences. Lisa Jiggetts (President & Founder of Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu) closed the event with her unique take on how to deal with the challenges of impostor syndrome in your job search.

Check out the extended highlights below.
